Ben Blackwood, MD, immigrated from Eastern Canada to Virginia in high school. He completed his undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University, medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School and his residency at Brown Emergency Medicine. Dr. Blackwood returned to Virginia in 2020. He is continually grateful for the incredible opportunities life has provided him and is married with three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, mindfulness meditation, surfing, teaching, and occasional travel.
